How Much Does Mobile Dog Grooming Cost in Central Florida?
The honest answer is that it depends on your dog, but that is not an excuse to avoid the number. Here is what our services start at in Central Florida, and what actually moves the price from there.
What do the services start at?
A Bath starts at $80 and includes a brush-out, the bath itself, a full blow dry and ear cleaning. A Mini Groom starts at $100 and adds nails, a sanitary trim and a face trim. A full Grooming starts at $120 and adds a complete body haircut styled for the breed. Those are starting prices for a small dog on the entry package.
What makes the price go up from there?
Two things: the size of the dog and the condition of the coat. A large double-coated dog takes far more time and product than a small smooth-coated one, and a coat that has been matting for months is a different job from one that has been brushed. That is why we ask for the breed and the weight before quoting, and why we would rather give you a firm number in the conversation than have you find out at the door.
What do the add-ons cost?
Nail trim and file is $15, teeth brushing is $10, a deshedding treatment is $20, and dematting starts at $25. Nails are already included in the Mini Groom and in the full Grooming, so they are only a paid add-on on a plain bath.
Is mobile grooming more expensive than a salon?
Usually the sticker price is higher, and what you are paying for is real: a groomer's undivided time, a van that comes to you, and a dog who spends about one to two hours getting groomed instead of most of a day waiting in a kennel. Whether that trade is worth it depends on your dog. A dog that is fine in a salon may not need it. A dog that dreads the car and the crate usually does.
What if the groom cannot be finished?
We work calmly and we never force a dog. If the groom cannot be completed safely, we stop, bring your dog back to you, and you are not charged. That is a real policy, not a figure of speech.
