Dog Ear Cleaning in Central Florida

Ear cleaning is one of those things that sounds optional until you live in Florida. Warm, humid air and a dog that swims or gets bathed regularly is exactly the combination that ears do not like, and floppy-eared breeds have almost no airflow in there to begin with.

Is ear cleaning included or is it an extra?

It is included. Every bath we do already includes ear cleaning, which means every groom does too, since every groom starts with the bath. You do not have to ask for it and you are not charged separately for it. That is worth checking wherever you book, because it is commonly sold as an add-on.

What does the groomer actually do?

The groomer checks the ears, wipes out the visible dirt and wax from the outer ear with a cleaner made for dogs, and dries the area properly. Nothing is pushed down into the canal. On breeds that grow hair inside the ear, that hair is dealt with as part of the groom, because trapped hair holds moisture and debris against the skin.

Why does this matter more in Central Florida?

Humidity and water. A dog that is damp inside the ears for hours is a dog whose ears stay warm and wet, and that is the environment where problems start. This is also why a proper blow dry matters so much here, and why we never send a dog home air drying.

When is it a vet visit instead of a groomer visit?

If the ear smells strong, looks red or swollen, has dark discharge, or if your dog is shaking his head, scratching at it, or flinches when you touch it, that is a vet appointment. Cleaning an ear that is already infected does not fix it and can hurt. We will tell you if we see something that looks like it needs a vet, but we do not diagnose or treat it.

How often do ears need cleaning?

For most dogs, at every groom is enough. Dogs that swim often, dogs with heavy floppy ears, and dogs with a history of ear trouble usually need attention between appointments as well, and your vet is the right person to tell you how often for that specific dog.

What is mobile dog grooming?

Mobile dog grooming is a convenient service where our professional groomers come to your location in Orlando or any of 20+ surrounding cities in Central Florida, such as Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Clermont, Winter Garden and Apopka  in a fully equipped van. You never have to travel to a grooming salon: we groom your dog one-on-one, right in your driveway.

How do I schedule an appointment with your mobile grooming service?

You can book an appointment by calling, texting, or messaging us on WhatsApp at (407) 325-0203. We groom Monday to Saturday. How soon we can come depends on the week: sometimes we have a same-day opening, sometimes the next spot is a few days out, so there is no fixed waiting time. The earlier you get in touch, the better your chances of getting the exact day and time you want.

What services do you offer in a mobile grooming session?

We offer a range of services including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and more, all in the comfort of our mobile grooming unit.

Do I need to provide anything for the grooming appointment?

We typically provide everything needed for the grooming session, but it is helpful if you have a suitable location for us to park the mobile unit. If it is your dog first visit with us, we will ask you to fill out a short form.

How much does mobile dog grooming cost?

Prices depend on the service and on your dog's size and coat. The Bath, which is brush out, bath, blow dry and ears, starts at $80. The Mini Groom adds a sanitary trim and a face trim, includes the nails, and starts at $100. A full haircut styled for your dog's breed starts at $120 and also includes the nails. Add ons like deshedding, teeth brushing or a flea and tick bath start at $10. Send us a message on WhatsApp with your dog's breed and we will give you an exact price.

Is mobile grooming suitable for all dog breeds and sizes?

Yes! Our vans are equipped to groom dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to big ones like Golden Retrievers and Labradors. That includes extra large breeds. We also take dogs that are nervous or hard to handle: we always try, calmly and without forcing. If the groom cannot be finished safely, we stop, bring your dog back to you, and there is no charge. The only dog we cannot groom is one that is sick. If you are not sure about your dog, just send us a quick message and we will let you know.

How long does a grooming session usually take?

The duration can vary depending on the size and breed of your dog, as well as the specific services requested. On average, it may take 1-2 hours.
